Phobos is a typeface made available by the British Space Program that was used
extensively in the design for the Mars Colonisation Mission and the Phobos Terminal system. Available in three styles – Regular,
Digital and Disrupted – Phobos typographically highlights the breakdown in communication between Earth
and the Martian colonies.
Phobos Regular contains 113 glyphs, upper and lowercase, numerals and special characters.
It was updated and designed by Lewis Whibley in a colloboration with the British Space Programme investigating the design of the
Mars Colony years (1988-2021).
